WATER CINEMATOGRAPHY

Crosswave North is based in Reykjavik, Iceland. We also service other locations throughout Europe, along with locations such as Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Faroe Islands. We have ten years + experience in underwater camera work for film, television, commercials and more. We can also bring value to productions working as an additional camera unit, drone or gimbal operator for topside shots.

SPECIALTY CAMERA SYSTEMS / HIGH SPEED

We can offer a Freefly Systems Ember camera which shoots up to 800fps in 4K, or over 1400fps in 2K in a compact camera. This is a great alternative to utilising a Flex 4K and the best way to go beyond 200 + fps in the water.

WATER SAFETY / SUPPORT VESSELS

Safety considerations come first when shooting in a marine environment at arctic latitudes. We’re experienced in using jetskis and boats as precision operated tools to reach otherwise inaccessible filming locations and for stabilised camera mounts. Our core team are certified divers experienced with drysuit and offshore equipment and comfortable undertaking production in any conditions.

EXTENSIVE EQUIPMENT OPTIONS

We can accommodate most leading cinema cameras with our selection of housings, including Arri Alexa Mini and Mini LF, Red Raptor, Gemini and Monstro cameras, plus compact options for the Canon EOS R5 and Blackmagic Pocket 6K. We have waterproof SDI and HDMI connectors and HI-5/WCU-4 integration for remote focus control in the water.
