Arri Alexa Mini Housing
Arri Alexa Mini Housing
Our underwater housing to suit the Arri Alexa Mini camera, allows for full creative control from the pool to the surf. A control interface allows for full interaction with the lefthand side buttons and operation of the internal ND filter. At the rear of the housing, there is capacity for a battery up to 270wH in capacity and a 7” operators monitor.
This housing has a number of different modes it can be set up in. An extension block can be installed at the front of the housing, allowing for the attachment of Cforce motors and WCU-4 integration. Connected via waterproof control cable, it is possible to manage focus, iris and camera settings from up to 50 metres away whilst monitoring video split. This extension block will accommodate a number of cinema lenses, such as Cooke, Panavision, Leica and many popular choices. When the extension block is not used, the housing will accommodate our conventional lens port system with operator controlled zoom, focus and iris. Operator controlled lens options include the Cooke Panchro’s (18-25,32,50mm), Cooke S4i’s (18,25,32,50mm) or Cooke S4 25mm/50mm, or Signature Prime lenses from 18mm-125mm. When using the housing with the focus motor extension block, almost any lens of relatively normal cinema prime thickness / length should be compatible.
If you want to create an ultra compact build, you can remove the rear section of the camera normally used for the operators monitor, and shorten the length of the housing. This may be suitable for remotely. mounted use, or when a top mount external monitor is used.
