Available for rental is our Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K / 6K underwater housing. Designed for use in surf, topside and shallow water applications, a light aluminium construction allows for effortless use in any water conditions. Full control over all camera functions is available through buttons on the rear and top of the housing, while the lens port features controls for zoom, focus and vari-ND (available for P4K w/ Metabones configuration)

Our Blackmagic Pocket 4K/6K housing can be hired in a number of configurations. Choose from either the bundles below, or add individual accessories as needed.

KIT #1 — HOUSING ONLY

BMPCC Underwater Housing w/ lens port of your choice. 2x CoreSWX powerbase + SSD mount.
You supply camera of your choice, either 6K body, or 4K body w/ EF mount Metabones adapter. $400 per day

KIT #2 — 6K CAMERA, LENS & HOUSING

BMPCC Underwater Housing w/ lens port. Blackmagic Pocket 6K camera, with SSD. 2x CoreSWX powerbase, Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 ART zoom with vari-ND control or Tokina 11-20mm f/2.8 zoom w/ dome port. $750 per day

• Due to the touch screen control, menu navigation is not possible in the housing. We recommend using the Bluetooth Blackmagic app, which allows wireless phone control over the camera when in the housing. In particular, switching from 6K 50fps, to 2.8K 100fps is a handy feature of the app that saves you having to open the housing.

Construction

This housing is tough. CNC machined from a single piece of billet aluminium, then anodised and painted. All buttons and hardware are stainless steel, with the backplate secured via hex bolts sitting flush.

Grips

The housing comes with two sidegrips. Similar to the setup on our RED Housings, but you’re holding a setup that comes in at 40% of the weight. The housing weighs 1.5KG, while the camera, powerbase and 18-35 Lens combo is 2.4KG. This waterhousing system is so light that you don’t have to be part fish to handle it, even in big surf or other challenging water conditions.

We can include cheeseplates for the bottom of the housing that provide 1/4”-20 threads for mounting the housing to rigging or support.
